Hawthorne Reformed Church
Who are we?
We are a congregation of church members and friends, families, children, singles, mature adults, newcomers and lifelong members.
What are we?
We are a Protestant Church in the Presbyterian tradition. We are part of the Reformed Church in America. Our church has its origins in the old Dutch Reformed Church brought here by Dutch settlers in the 1600’s. Our church home was founded in 1818 and restored in the 1960’s.
Where are we?
Our home is Hawthorne, New York, a suburban community in Westchester County, about 25 miles north of New York City.
Why are we here?
We seek to be “a welcoming family of God uniting in love and service.”
How can we accomplish this?
Worship: We gather to praise God with music that is traditional and modern. We receive God’s grace and love through Scripture readings and sermons for children and adults. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month. We encourage each other by sharing our concerns and praying for one another.
Fellowship: We gather after church for coffee, we share in meals, and we join together in church activities. Genuine fellowship helps to shape us into the welcoming family of God that we seek.
