Mount Pleasant Education Foundation
We are volunteers who work together to raise money, which is then distributed to the educators of the District for educational programs and/or educational capital items. One-hundred percent of the net proceeds benefit the students of our District as their learning experience is enhanced by the programs and items financed by the grants. The Foundation has awarded over $600,000 in grants to the District since its inception in 1997.
How We Do It...
Dinner Dances
Our annual spring dinner dance is our main fundraising event. This event is held in the spring and is well attended by parents, teachers and residents of the community that show their support for the school district. Local businesses and corporations provide items for a silent auction and we also have a large selection of sports memorabilia as a separate silent auction. Tickets for the event go on sale around February.
Golf Outings
The golf outing is one of our key fund-raising events. The event is usually held in the fall at a nearby golf course. Sponsorship opportunities include hole sponsorships, longest drive contest, closest to the pin contest, hole in one contest, lunch and cocktail hour.
Turkey Trot
Our newest event is a Turkey Trot and Family Fun Run held in November. The Turkey Trot brings family members out for a morning of activities at the Westlake Middle and High School campus. No need to be an athlete. Your school spirit and community pride is all you need to participate!
