How do I get a library card?
You are eligible for an MPPL card if:
- You live either in the Town of Mount Pleasant (outside the incorporated villages) or the Village of Pleasantville
- You work in either the Town of Mount Pleasant (outside the incorporated villages) or the Village of Pleasantville, and live outside Westchester
- You attend school or college in either the Town of Mount Pleasant (outside the incorporated villages) or the Village of Pleasantville, and live outside Westchester
In order to get a card, you will need to bring a picture ID and proof of residence, employment, or your student status, to either the Main Library or the Branch Library.
How old does my child have to be in order to get a card?
Any child under age 18 residing in the town of Mount Pleasant or Village of Pleasantville may be signed up for a card by their parent/guardian. Parents/guardians can choose to receive email notifications when their child's items are coming due.
What can I get with my MPPL card?
With your MPPL card you have access to the latest Books, DVDs, CDs, and magazines. You also have access to a number of digital and streaming services, including ebooks, digital audiobooks and music, as well as subscriptions to AcornTV, Kanopy, Hoopla, NY Times online, Lynda.com, Tutor.com and Learning Express.
