Update - 3/18:
The Westchester Library System is currently working on some issues they are having with holds. The Library app is also experiencing some issues and the holds and catalog search functions are not accurate at this time. We are working on having the app updated as soon as possible, and will post here when we know more.

The new catalog is now live! You will notice a number of differences, and we hope that they will be useful to you. Should you need any assistance accessing your account or searching for materials, please contact a Reference Librarian.


There have been some issues with holds, and the Westchester Library System is aware of them and is working to resolve these issues as soon as possible. We will update this page with more information as we get it, and we thank you for your patience during this transitional period.

Update - 3/12:
Our new catalog is set to go live Thursday, March 13. All items that have been returned since Sunday are scheduled to be checked in by end of day on Friday, March 15. Rest assured, there will be no fines on these materials. If you have any questions, please call the Circulation Desk.

The Westchester Library system will be upgrading their Integrated Library System (ILS). This is the computer system that controls circulation of materials, cataloging of new materials, etc. The new system will offer better—and easier—search capabilities, greater control over notifications, and better access to materials.  During the changeover, there will be a brief period where the system will be completely down (March 11-13). 
What this means for you right now:


Checking out Books
Unfortunately, we will be unable to look up your library card number with the system down. Please be sure to bring your library card if you would like to check out books. If you have a card in the system but do not have a physical card, you can stop by the Information Desk before March 11th with your license/photo ID and we can give you your library card number, you can download the MPPL Mobile App to your smartphone and we can show you how access your digital library card from there.
Museum Passes
If you have not reserved Museum Passes you plan to use during the week of March 10 - 16, please reserve them by March 10th. The system used to reserve passes will be unavailable March 11 - 13. 
If you would like to download digital books and audiobooks but have not created an account in Overdrive/Libby, you will need to set up your account by March 10th to be able to access those digital materials when the system is down.
Checkout History
If you had selected to have the catalog record your checkout history we are recommending that you save a copy to your device or print out the list. Unfortunately Checkout History and Reading Lists in the current online catalog will not transfer to the new system. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. As with any major changes, there may be some bumps along the way. We will strive to keep you informed of any issues as they come up, and will work make this transition as easy as possible.
