The collection of historical and genealogical resources at the Main Library in Pleasantville includes books (reference works, histories, and genealogies), obituary indexes, newspapers, periodicals, subject files, photographs, postcards, and historic maps.

Over 12,000 pages of local historic newspapers spanning over forty years from 1956 to 1996 (with a few from the 1930s) are available to search, view, print and clip with a click of a mouse.
