Mount Pleasant Public Library: Board of Trustees Meeting
Minutes of the Meeting of October 28, 2019

Trustees & Liaisons present:
Emil Muccin, Larry Levine, Mary Ann Quinn, Dick Malina, James Riina (by phone), Marcie Krauss, Jorge Marmol, Robert Huerster

Also present:
John Fearon, Library Director: Vivian Gufarotti, Assistant Director

Trustees & Liaisons absent:
Julie Edwards, David Vinjamuri (Village Liaison), Laurie Smalley (Town Liaison)

Administrative: Trustee Muccin called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm.

The minutes of the October 17, 2019 Board meeting were approved. Moved by Trustee Marmol, seconded by Trustee Riina, and passed.

No members of the public were present for the meeting.

After discussion, it was moved by Trustee Krauss, and seconded by the Trustee Malina, that:
It is hereby resolved that the 2020 Library Budget, with total expenditures of $2,904,438 and a funding request of $2,804,331 to the Town and Village be approved.

After discussion, it was moved by Trustee Levine, and seconded by the Trustee Quinn, that:
• It is hereby resolved that Kieran McCormak be hired as a Library Page, effective October 28, 2019, at the hourly rate stipulated in the Authorized Personnel 2019 schedule.
• It is hereby resolved that Geraldine Argentina be retired as a Special Assignment Library Clerk, effective November 2, 2019, and a final lump sum payment of $82.92 be approved.
• It is hereby resolved that Geraldine Argentina be hired as a Substitute Library Clerk, effective November 2, 2019, at the hourly rate stipulated in the Authorized Personnel 2019 schedule.

After discussion, it was moved by Trustee Marmol, and seconded by the Trustee Riina, that:
It is hereby resolved that Director Fearon be authorized to a contract with Good Deal Cleaning for Cleaning Services for a total annual fee of $14,050, plus a per diem rate of $76, effective November 1, 2019 through October 31, 2020.

Trustee Levine moved for adjournment at 8:04 pm, seconded by Trustee Krauss.
