I absolutely loved this book. It was lighthearted while diving into complicated issues such as politics, family issues, LGBTQIA+ relationships, adversity, and the struggles long distance just to name a few. I loved how personal the story felt, and how connected you become to the characters as a reader. You see the characters come to terms with these issues listed above, and follow along on their journey through the course of the story. I felt like I was hanging onto every word McQuiston wrote, and became so attached to Alex, Henry, and the supporting characters as I read.
If you like the classic enemies to lovers, falling in love with the fake wedding date, and secret romance tropes, this book is perfect for you. Because some of the topics can be sensitive, and there are some graphic scenes, I would say that this is a book for young adults, 17 and older.
