Learn about the health benefits of Korean food as we demonstrate two Korean dishes: Bibimbap and Kimchi Salad. Following the demonstration, participants will be served a home-cooked, full Korean meal presented with a traditional table setting using Bangjja (Korean bronze ware). Short films highlighting Korean culture will be screened, and attendees will receive printed recipes along with complimentary books on Korean history and culture.

Fordham English professor Sasha Ann Panaram will lead a guided discussion of Toni Morrison’s second novel, Sula, published in 1973. Join us for a lively conversation about Morrison’s portrayal of Black female friendship, the different types of love that animate the story, the place of Ohio in Morrison’s fiction, and what it takes to be young, Black and free as a woman in a world plagued by persistent racism and sexism.
