Lisa Gutkin is a Grammy-winning fiddler, songwriter and singer. She is known widely for her work with The Klezmatics, and for her compositions in the Tony winning Broadway show Indecent. Lisa will draw from her time spent in Ireland singing and playing in sessions to create an atmosphere so warm you will think you are sitting around the fire in an old stone pub.

Did you know that New York City has ten National Park sites? Well, they do! And we're very excited to celebrate LGBTQIA+ history with a Park Ranger from Stonewall National Monument. Bring your questions about the Stonewall Uprising, Stonewall Inn, and the beginning of the modern LGBTQIA+ rights movement.

Join the Adult Summer Reading Program. It's fun and rewarding! Register in person or online and pick up a Kickoff Bag at the Library. Then all you have to do is read and review! Pick up a door prize and earn a point for each review submitted, earn more points by playing Bingo, and get in the pool for one of the Three Grand Prizes. First prize goes to the person with the most reviews; second and third prize is a raffle.

Out of the ashes of the British occupation and Evacuation Day in November 1783 at the American Revolution’s end, New York emerged as the first capital of the United States. How did a body of elected representatives establish a form of government that had never existed previously? This virtual presentation from the New York Historical Society covers an era from the signing of the Declaration of Independence to the opening of the Erie Canal, providing insight and history as to how New York developed from a British colony to the largest and wealthiest American city.
