How long can I borrow a pass for?
Passes are available for 3 days (including 2 nights) and may be reserved up to 30 days in advance.
How many people will a pass cover?
Generally speaking, at least two adults and two children. However, we recommend investigating the museum's policy before you visit. On our
sign-up platform there is an option called "Learn More" for each museum to help you.
How many passes can I borrow?
One museum pass per library card may be borrowed at a time.
How do I make a reservation?
We have a very easy to use online platform that allows you to make reservations. You can access this platfrom
by clicking here or via our app.
Of course, you can also call us or visit the Library and have a librarian make a reservation for you.
Where can I pick up my reservation?
At the reference desk in the Main Library
Is there anything else I need to know?
Quite often there is a short turnaround between borrowers. As a reslut it is very important that the pass be returned on time.
The pass must be returned at the Reference Desk at the Main Library (please do not leave them in the book-drop. There is a $10 per day
charge for late returns.
What is the Empire Pass?
The Empire pass grants free admission for 1 vehicle to access most facilities operated by the NYS Office of Parks/Recreation including
Rockefeller State Park, Bear Mountain, Walkway over the Hudson, and more! Visit parks.ny.gov to see the full list of participating parks
and facilities.
What criteria do you use to select museums?
Not all museums offer library passes. We do our best to be aware of what museums are available and we try to include as many as possible.
